Since the debate a sizable part of Brown’s messaging (and also Giuliani’s when he was in MA stumping) has been to use her Afghanistan Al Qaeda/Taliban debate blunder to paint her has clueless w/ respect to the war against terrorism. The DSCC not recognizing an image of the WTC plays into that and tees up some really easy outrage fodder.
