I made it back… but suffered a mission abort.

Drove 180 miles today for nothing… got almost to I-80 when the roads glazed over with ice and traffic slowed to a crawl. I very quickly came to the realization that if I didn’t end up in an accident or the ditch like so many others I was passing, I’d never make it in time.

So I turned around as a complete and utter failure. :-(

I can report, however, that the McDonalds in Peotone, Il, is pretty much identical to all the others.
