Whenever I hear “Organic Foods”, I immeadiately think “As opposed to inorganic foods, like silicates?”

As you know, table salt is technically inorganic, as are all minerals.

The nutters talking about “organic” foods usually mean foods grown without inorganic pesticides. Inorganic fertilizers, curiously, are usually OK.

In the case of livestock, the term means no added hormones (even though those are also organic) or antibiotics.
