Trump is reportedly furious that none of his staff told him that skipping the WWI 100-year commemoration because of rain would look terrible.

1) Why does he need staff to tell him this?

2) Are his staffers clueless—or are they trying to undermine him?

There are two possibilities for his behavior this past weekend:
1. His staff really is as clueless as he is.
2. His staff is too afraid to contradict him and advise him that the optics of missing these events would be very bad for him.
