You are absolutely right about Singapore. Milton Friedman gave them the same pass that he gave Chile.

When Singapore came up in our conversation (in a discussion of long plane flights!!), I remarked that Singapore was proof that capitalism has nothing to do with democracy and my brother’s comments were in response to my statement.
