It is not exactly rocket science to see that if you work hard and become a productive member of society then you will gain respect. That is not saying that there are not bigots out there who you will never satisfy. I have people who will always assume that I went to college on minority fellowships. That I have my job because of my color. I can do nothing to change that.

I respect Michael Steele because he does not use his race as if it is some badge of honor and you must kiss his ass. Obama on the other hand IMHO is a race baitor who exploits it to his advantage. At the DNC Convention he dod not mention MLK once in his speech but has not problems repeating that I am being nominated on the same day as MLK’s I have a Dream speech.
