re: #147 Conservative Moonbat

I think people are just tired of Wright being brought up to criticize Obama. I don’t think he’ll be a useful tool in 2012. Using guilt by association tactics just makes it look like you don”t have any legitimate grounds to criticize Obama directly.

Understood, but the talk of Wright in 2008 was merely to determine if the information we had on that was enough to cost him the election-which it wasn’t. Taking a step back and asking “Now just how much influence did he have on his political education and just how much does he agree with the man” is still a fair point. Just because something was played out in endless media cycles does not mean that there was never any meat to the story. As a matter of fact, I’m more concerned about McChesney’s participation if indeed he has influence with the administration as the article claims.

We’re not talking about “G - D America” soundbytes anymore. And it’s not an attempt to make him ineligible for office either now or in 2012. It’s just questioning whether or not he might be inclined to go along with this apparent attempt to radically alter the free market economy -something which would concern me if it happens. And if the answer is “He is not” then fine. But Wright’s presence in the story does not invalidate it or move it into the “tiresome” camp. I’ll judge Obama’s actions now and in the future, but his associations do make that a difficult endeavor from time to time.
