re: #178 Blind Frog Belly White

An effective regulation might focus mostly on capacity and rate. The AR comes in almost every caliber that can be made to feed through. From .22 to 7.62. I have a gun that runs the .223 5 shot bolt action. More dangerous to whatever is being well aimed at than an AR because bolt action accuracy with extra velocity in a long barrel. But unsuitable to the Vegas shooter by far. He was dangerous ten times a second instead of once every few seconds, so to speak.

If someone sells semi auto hunting rifles that have no magazine and only hold 5 rounds, probably a legit hunting gun. Not a modern war weapon.

California might have it about right. The goals-10 round capacity, can’t speed reload, can’t have a pistol grip, bayonet, sound suppressor or muzzle flash device. Not a ban. Regulated instead. It passed, it holds up under court scrutiny. I notice the 2nd A is unscathed.
