Didn’t mean to offend. I’m just saying that from a “mainstream” Christian point of reference, some Book of Mormon stuff is indeed quite “non-standard.” And from a non-believer’s standpoint, some of the stuff in the Bible itself is, well, “non-standard” in realation to physical reality.

Yup. IN addition to the Bible we beleive the Book of Mormon was scripture about the followers of Christ in the Western Hemisphere from the time of 600BC to 400AD. In addition we have modern revelations in our Doctrine and Covenants and some other revelations like the Book of Moses quoted in part above. For us continued revelation is a standard component of the Church, and the canonical revelations were mostly around the time of the Church’s founding in the 1800s.
