I was once. I’m kind of not any more. That’s what I’ve become in the Trump era - a much worse person. Like most of the country, I guess.

The thing is, trump’s victory and continuing cult-like worship from his base belies “when they go low, we go high.” Going low won, because it’s what 62 million Americans wanted and tens of millions of others couldn’t be bothered to vote against. It’s as if “going high” was viewed as weakness, while trump’s vicious, sleazy bullying was durr-hurr alpha strength. I always knew people like that existed; I just had no idea there were so goddamned many of them :/

Agreed. with Trump’s election, my faith in humankind died. I believed ppl were inherently good. I was wrong. I was so wrong.
