The Obama administration is in shock.

They actually believed that international tensions would be lowered with a new president in DC. They seem to have bought into the brain-dead meme that US intransigence was driving worldwide hostility. They really thought aggressive nations would step back and greet his arrival as a new beginning.

That shit plays well in a college classroom, or the pages of the Daily Kos… but in the real world each whiff of weakness is an opportunity for the uglies to consolidate their positions.

I think they are boggled right now… the world isn’t responding the way they thought it would.
