I don’t think she’s a good pick but I still think she’s going to be the pick. It’s practically the same scenario as Palin - top of the ticket is viewed suspiciously by the base and they need an anti-abortion candidate. That she also presumably has a uterus is all they think they need to close the gender gap.
I think they’re gonna write off the gender gap as being a product of the “war on women” they’re convinced is fictional and limit their focus to the things they think they can win on, which are jobs and gas prices.
