it’s a way of managing software engineers that’s very popular these days where every two weeks all the engineers have to predict everything they’re gonna do for the next two weeks to do their job and estimate it to the hour, write up the tasks on yellow stickies, paste them up on a whiteboard, and then stick to the schedule

then every day you come in and either declare that, yes, yesterday from 9 to 11 i accomplished this, just like i promised, and then from 11 to 2 i did the second task, and then from 2 to 5 i did the third task

and if you didn’t do everything in more or less the time you predicted, it’s a problem and you’ll have to apologize for your “poor estimation skills”

They do Agile where my wife works. They have planning meetings for their planning meetings. I don’t think I’d last a month.

P.S. Also, they have scrum every week, not every two weeks, and she works on two separate projects under two separate managers, so she has 2 scrums a week.
