Ummm, what specific policy did the President enact that caused this? Extended tax cuts to all but the rich? Expanded access to affordable health insurance?

Chopped government spending at a time when the economy wasn’t growing enough reducing jobs for all (even as GOPers routinely try to protect military/defense spending precisely because it creates certain kinds of jobs)?

If I had to guess, it’s the sequester and reduction in government spending that is driving any shrinkage in the middle class - but even that’s assuming it’s happening as the report suggests.
