In this land (Northern CA) of Property Values Over All, anything even slightly out of the ordinary is likely to get this kind of response from the neighbors. (Especially in wannabe upscale neighborhoods, she said snarkily.) Paint jobs will do it, so will “garish” holiday decorations (if they don’t become attractions, and sometimes even then), and landscaping.

Of course, the fact that the “guilty parties” are moooslims makes it easier.

(From what I’ve seen of the pictures, the house looks great, and despite what I’ve said so far, I feel sure that that house, decorations and all, would be an ornament in my own neck of the woods.)
