You can’t libel the dead. CCJ is just going to run with this since he has absolutely zero credibility left to risk. If he wins his suit and it comes back that Brown had no juvenile record he still wins with the wingnuts for fighting the “good fight.” In the meantime he succeeds in planting the idea in people’s heads that there is a juvenile record, and he can spout all he wants to about what “anonymous sources in law enforcement” tell him it contains.

He’s a right wing pundit. His credibility is not measured by the accuracy of his reports, but rather by how useful they are. Let’s suppose that Michael Brown’s juvie records are released, and there’s absolutely nothing there. Do you think ANYONE who currently respects/listens to him will stop doing so? Do you think they’ll even stop calling Michael Brown a ‘suspected murderer’?

Of course not! His goal is to provide a reason for Right Wingers to cling to their belief that blacks are lazy, stupid, and violent, so that we should not feel bad when yet another unarmed black teen is gunned down, because it’s their own fault for being black, not society’s fault for being racist.
