I’m feeling really a little thick here, but why are we supposed to care that some guy may have posted a photo of his penis? He’s not even an elected official.

According to the Gawker article:

I get he’s married, which would kind of make him a jerk, but why is everybody interested? As far as I understand, the exchange was consensual.

By the way, if people who are not women trying to meet men are unaware, phallic selfies are extremely commonplace. I get more than I’d like to acknowledge publicly, but it should be noted that this isn’t unusual behavior.

He teaches at the Naval War College so that’s probably the only issue and that’s between himself and his employer. The rest is all internet drama. I don’t are what consenting adults do on the internet or what the terms of his marriage might be or if he’s gay. I like his foreign policy writing and don’t care about much else.
