That’s almost the ‘97 Joy of Cooking recipe. Alouette, just use Jay’s recipe. It looks great. (Particularly the cook ahead bit. Chili needs to age for a day.)
The other good one is Cincinnati Chili. Again, I use the mildly heretical JoC recipe, and it’s tasty. (But significantly different from normal Southwestern style chili. It’s got a Greek/Mediterranean twist to it.)
Are you required to serve that over spaghetti?
