Rift is stealing from WoW.
The combination of Cata being too demanding in Instances and Raids as compared to RoTL for Wow, and Rift being a superb, polished product - a sweet spot for a new MMO to go live.

The end result is harsh on some of the Realms - guilds are folding.

Wow has gotten progressively less interesting for years on end. It’s a dying game, because they aren’t doing anything new or interesting. It’s become cookie-cutter gaming hell.

Rift seems like the antidote to everything that is wrong with WoW. If I hadn’t sworn off MMO’s, I’d be playing it. I don’t have time for them anymore.
