Actually, it sounds even stupider. I think they’re talking about pictures of that particular plane taken by airplane buffs prior to the day it disappeared. BUT, I ain’t going to CNN to find out if I’m right.

That’s exactly what it sounds like. Like you, I’m not planning on going over there to find out.
