There’s a third overarching group of people who claim that Obama is destroying “free-market capitalism” or whatever: Those who never took an economics class in their life.

Or they did take an econ class, but it was taught by a Straussian. Their textbooks endorsed lying to the masses to talk them into a policy agenda they’d never support if they understood, distracting them with culture war — it is a deliberate, endorsed straussian principle.
