Carson got a lot of helping hands, you can bet. He was in the JROTC in HS and claims he was offered an appt at West Point. Instead, he went to Yale and majored on Psychology. Of course, it’s said that med schools don’t care what your major is. And this would have been around 1969-70 when he went to college, probably 1974-75 when he went to med school, the golden age of affirmative action from which he benefited and which his party wants to quash completely.

Uh, huh…which Congressman offered him the West Point appointment?
