I’ve found Calvinism one of the most confusing theologies in Christianity. If everyone is predestined from birth to enter heaven or not, and there’s no way to tell which afterlife you will go to before you die, then why bother trying to be all godly and stuff?

Sounds more like astrology and tarot card readings than a theology.

It seems you only convinced your neighbors that you were among the Elect by toeing the “godly” line.
