Did you read Josh Marshall’s take on him? Really smart, but such an arrogant asshole that everyone who has anything to do with him hates his guts. He’s been in the Senate less than a year, and already the rest of the Senate GOP caucus hates him, and so does the House GOP caucus.

At a certain point, it’s not enough to be smart.

Ah. So he’s Santorum II, then. From my understanding, every Republican in Congress hated Santorum too, because he was such an arrogant, humorless prick.
