Well… the answer to my question turns out to be: Muslims. But that group was just barely ahead of Christians. Something like 271 to 253 in respondents chose those two categories, who widely led the field. The difference is close to the the expected noise in these sort of things.

Now, I guess we should all be surprised that enough Texans were able to gauge that yes, Muslims are being actively discriminated against here in the US.

However, given as many respondents chose “Christian” tells me that indeed, the right wing is in full worldview circle-the-wagon mode.
