No matter what the report actually says, Trump will suppress as much of it as he can and scream far and wide that it totally exonerates him.

Personally, I think the worst that could be done may be what ends up happening: That the report is released unredacted but also so premature that there is enough reasonable doubt to be raised that any suggestion of criminal charges is moot. That there are no clear links between Trump and his henchmen, such that we end up in an Iran-Contra situation where the public is “satisfied” that the criminals have been punished and the guy at the top has been “cleared” simply because no direct evidence of criminal acts on his part can be proven.
