Sanford should resign not because of the philandering, but because he used government money and did so when he should have been attending to state business.

He’s got to go, and the state GOP should do what it can to make that happen.

Of course, it’s not like the Democrats don’t have similar issues. They’ve turned the DC swamp into a swimming pool of corruption, led by none other than Charlie Rangel (D-NY), whose tax cheating ways now includes stiffing NJ out of property taxes for years and underreporting hundreds of thousands in income. Oh, and he’s the guy who sets tax policy in the US heading Ways and Means.

He just has a different way of figuring tax policy for everyone else as compared to himself.

You get no argument from me about ousting corrupt Dems. However, since they (the Dems) don’t make it a point to present themselves as people of great religious conviction at every opportunity, the philandering is a special whammy for the GOP.

In fact it is a double whammy.

The average American does not give a damn about the intricacies of policy. They do however get the notion of a hypocrite with his johnson someplace it shouldn’t be.
