The “I love you” and the end of “Mummy on the Orient Express?” Moffat and Coleman have both said that was NOT to Danny, but to the Doctor.

Then, during “In the Forest of the Night,” Clara was more affectionate to Danny.

And then the mixed signals in the finale. They went to save Danny, but without know the Cyberman in the graveyard, she said this about the Doctor.

He is the closest person to me in this whole world. He is the man I will always forgive, always trust. The one man I would never, ever lie to.

Reminds me of Final Fantasy VII. Even down to the ending of it, with one point being dead.
