I wonder if the anesthesia for that surgery didn’t kick his Alzheimer’s into higher gear. My husband had several surgeries late in his life, and he lost ground with the anesthesia each time.

I can’t really say; I neither know enough about Alzheimer’s Disease nor anaesthesia to say.
