No one knows who the Dem candidate will be, and every effort to draw redlines and disqualifications will leave many of us in the position of backtracking late in the cycle. That is the path to low turnout and lukewarm support. Better be ready to go to the wall for anyone who can oust Trump and his nazis.

my preferences:

any Democrat who stands a good chance of turning a Senate seat should try for that, and sit out the presidential race. There’s more than enough capable D presidential candidates, but not enough for the Senate. And that’ll be super-important.

So Stacy Abrams, Beto O’Roarke, Hickenlooper… please.
