Are people that attuned to what politicians say? Nope. They aren’t. They’ll pull the lever for who they usually vote for. They’ll vote by party line, ignoring all the facts and evidence to not do so because their party position is antithetical to their own well being. Or they’ll do it for less honorable reasons.

It’s how criminals and ethically challenged politicians are elected, reelected, and gain near lifetime seat status.

Everyone loves their own representatives, but hates Congress (it’s always the other guy’s fault and think that others should change their votes to clean up Congress’ act).
