I have mixed feelings about this…

In baseball generally, and especially for the minor leagues, isn’t ticket sales or replica jerseys and other merchandise just as important (maybe even more important) than batting average or any other stats? Cause Tebow performs pretty well on that metric.

For a minor league club sure but what bothers me is that there’s definitely someone ten years younger than him who has the potential to get better that is being held back by the Mets using Tebow as a gimmick. If Tebow weren’t a former Heisman Trophy winner with a huge national reputation, fans would hate this. It’s nothing against Tebow personally but I really think the Mets are doing a disservice here.
