I’m always glad to hear the Taliban or al Quaeda announce upcoming attacks. It is a certainty that they’ve got less than nothing, and are simply flapping their lips. There has never, ever been an instance of a pre-announced attack taking place. It’s sheer bravado on their part, and it typically means they’re in desperate straits.

I start worrying when they clam up and go silent.
