If true… WOW. It definitely seems to be getting away from the mullahcracy. It’s not just about their Choice No. 1 versus Choice No. 2 any more.

Except for that part about the temporary instatement of Ayatollah Otherguy as Supreme Leader. I would prefer a more American approach, in which we don’t have a “Supreme Leader” (although I admit we’ve been trying to move in that direction recently).
