re: #179 John Carter
You know this is pretty typical and illustrates my point nicely. I would love to debate how much damage the boomers have done but what happens is there are so many of them that they call in reinforcements like you see above.
Dispute what I said, Boomers are in charge of almost everything and this crap we are going through is because of that generation. The GIās set you up nicely and you got to work almost your entire careers at one place with strong unions and infrastructure and schools. What happened as they assumed power from the GIās?
Let me ask you OA, do you think the Beatles are a good band? I think they are so so but they will go down as one of the ābest everā because so many of the boomers cut their teeth on them. You see folks in your generation have lived in a bubble when it comes to things like that. X-ers are too small to challenge them. That is why I love Millenials, they donāt take any shit and they are just as big. The Millenials will win in the end because they are the new generation so the reaction of the boomers to them cracks me up.
Yes it is a generalization, generations have personalities. I like a heck of a lot of boomers, just collectively they have done a lot of damage.
I would love to debate all the damage done by Gen X deciding āboth sides are equally evilā and staying home from the polls in droves but thereās not enough space for that.
I despise the Beatles. Will the band go down as one of the ābest ever?ā Well, if commercial appeal at the time is any indication, they probably should.
All those Boomer you are so on about āin charge of everythingā include most or all of the Democratic elected officials trying to push back against this crap. Letās throw them all out. Heck, Iāll go first, because there are Gen Xers lined up around the block to run for my seat (crickets ā¦ they arenāt interested in even local government here).
