Imagine living in a world where you were in constant danger of violent attack, even death, at all hours of the day, no matter where you are, and the ONLY THING that could keep you safe would be having a loaded gun on you at all times.

This is the world they live in.

Also in that world, they themselves are expert marksmen, cool of head and keen of eye, able to instantly perceive the situation they are in and the person they need to kill to stop it, and the ability to do that, unfailingly, every time.

AND that they are so well-trained, and have thought it out so well that they will never have a negligent discharge, no child will ever find their gun and shoot someone, and they’ll never forget it’s there and leave it someplace where someone else finds it.

This is the fantasy they inhabit.

Can I be blunt here, they’re a bunch of sissies who hide behind guns.
