My father is a conservative but he is still bound and determined to believe that the NYTimes publishes facts. I think he’s mostly obsessed with their crossword puzzles.

I think there is still a certain element of the population that believes the newspapers, and evening news as being 100% trustworthy fact - elderly people in my family would have sworn that Dan Rather was as trustworthy as Jesus, for example.
