Very true. Thing about Bobby McD is he’s not gaffe prone. Other than the Confederate History Month thing he doesn’t do that sort of thing. He’s still a big socon though and is not the moderate he ran as in 2009.

And that’s the problem for anyone Mitt picks, even “moderate” Republicans are far right nuts if you just dig a little. I think if Mitt picks a nominee that instituted Confederate History Month this might be a motivating factor for AA voters all over the country. Maybe even Virginia, they haven’t had a real chance to let McDonnell know how they felt about that. Rubio, Christie, Daniels. It doesn’t matter, you can make them all look like the far right loons they really are. Most Americans know these guys as well as the knew Sarah Palin. They only have to the let the far right loon come out once.
