Will do, though the climate here is damp all year round. I made the mistake of putting the lens away for over a year without using it. It needs “airing out,” I guess.

A Nikkor might be worth shipping off for a good clean/lubricate/adjust. Another thing about silica gel—it can be ‘recharged’ indefinitely by leaving it in an oven at temps just above pilot light for a few hours. Even a jury-rigged solar warmer might work.
