The thing about theocracy is that the people speaking for God are really speaking for themselves and saying it’s God. While I do believe in an ultimate loving intelligence, I like to think that I’m not so arrogant to think that I speak for it-can barely speak to it. And in any case, if it isn’t real for you, then there’s no point in making you see what I see. And basing a political system on it is truly madness.
