I watched part of the film version over the holidays with my mum and I found it pretty painful. Way too much tokening, combined with way too much stereotypical indian enlightenment experience.

That being said, I love both palak paneer and spanikopita. Also, two of my favourite things to make with my partner. We might actually make palak paneer tomorrow.
