re: #18 researchok
Well, those Villa-Lobos pieces previously linked are supposed to be some of his better known, so they aren’t supposed to be “obscure”.
But, if you want obscure here is one: Villa-Lobos’ “Naufrgio de Klenicos”, a symphonic poem which translates (via Google) as “Wreck of Klenicos”. It has an Appleby catalog number W111. According to the Villa-Lobos fan site, the following is the only modern performance, and the only recording currently available. I’ve not searched the entire ‘net to determine if this is true, but I’ve not been able to find another recording.
It’s a really pretty piece, maybe one of his most beautiful compositions. Reportedly a section of it was later set apart by Villa-Lobos as a separate work, which is more often recorded. (See the Youtube video at the end.)
Recording notes that I found:
Recorded live at the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro on November 17, 2004, at the 42nd Villa-Lobos Festival.Orquestra Sinfnica do Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.

Here’s the excerpt that was given its own catalog numbers (W122, W123):
