‘corporatism’ is a peculiar choice - i first ran across the term in a biography of mussolini, where it unexpectedly referred to an economic system where all elements of an industry, that is from the workers on up to the top management, are encouraged to work ‘together’ and feel part of a big happy family
in other words, the workers are told to shut up and do what management tells them to do - a really fascist view of how worker/management relations are supposed to work
given, that, i’d take ‘capitalism’ over ‘corporatism’ any day…
The “Corporate State” is another term for Fascism. The heads of the most important corporations are officers of the government. As opposed to Communism, where officers of the government head the most important corporations.
This is why they say the political scale is a wrap-around deal.
