Too little, too late. Ballot access is gone in half the country and more states have filing deadlines this week.

I’ve seen people pointing out that the states that still have ballot availability include Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, i.e., states with heavy Mormon populations. This McMullin guy is from Utah. These are all states where Trump is either losing or barely winning in razor thin margins over Hillary. It sounds like a desperate strategy to get Mormon voters to the polls by giving them an option that isn’t Trump so they’ll still vote in the down-ticket races.

I get that NeverTrump-ers are wanting to stem the bleeding, but they really need to let Trump lose as badly as possible so that the GOP purges the Trumpkins from the party and tries to claw their way back to some semblance of reality. All this does is give the Trump faction a ready-made excuse when Cheeto Jesus inevitably loses in November.
