It did way more than push how movies are made. That movie pushed “red-pill/blue-pill” into our culture. The matrix as control, and our sucky world being the only thing we’re content with, have both become themes used in conversation.

Yeah I know. It’s no doubt influential and technically it’s one of the most innovative films of my life time but I had a hard time getting into it. Maybe I’ll give it anotehr view one of these nights.
