The shot which hit Brown in the forearm could have come from the front or the back. They don’t know because arm is so mobile.

If his arm was down at his side as it normally is then the shot came from behind. If he was facing officer he had to have his arm raised or in front of him for the bullet to come from the front.

On the autopsy drawing the mark you see made on the back of Michael Brown’s arm is where the round entered.
