Dubya was booed pretty badly, IIRC. I think they actually called off the traditional out-of-the-limo walk for the last few blocks and got back in the car because the crowd was booing them so badly.

But Dubya, whatever else one could say about him, was not a malignant narcissist whose initial instinct is to publicly demolish his critics.
