Did Carter advocate for any legislation effecting LGBT people as President? But fair enough. I have great regard for Carter as a man and Christian.

I think it was a bit too early for that. He won in ‘76 and America was just beginning to acknowledge that there were gays willing to “come out” and be seen and accepted. We were not far from the times when gays were treated as criminal and had to hide out underground.
