This officer should be dealt with the same way as any other officer who refuses to honor his commitment to deploy with his troops. He should be court martialed … and then Obama’s Justice department should step in and ask the court to drop the charges. This precedent was set with Ehren Watada, the first officer to refuse to be deployed to Iraq. He was going through a lengthy court battle but all charges were dropped by the Justice department shortly after Obama’s new Solicitor General Kagan took over.

Watada publicly denounced President Bush and claimed that the war was illegal. Deja vu eh?
