Another calculated thing about CCJ’s strategy of claiming certain knowledge about the Sony hack, it distracts people from the those lawsuits he promised he was filing against Politico and Gawker.

He strings people along from one outrageous position to another. He’s purposefully saying things that are inherently unknowable because the act itself is polarizing. His followers want to believe it, so they do, and the raw assertion becomes a kind of received knowledge and wisdom. The fact that it’s all opinion stated as certain fact becomes the shibboleth, they know exactly what they’re doing, but don’t dare admit to their own limitations for fear of being marked as an outsider. From CCJ’s point of view the intention is to remain controversial and a topic of discussion, no matter what. There’s no such thing as personal integrity, like Charlie Sheen, he’s “winning.”
